The Managing Director of Ecological Surveys Ltd: Paul Diamond, is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM), a Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association (MArborA) and an Associate of the Landscape Institute (ALI). 

We are able to offer a full suite of Ecology Surveys, Tree Surveys to BS5837 ('Trees in Relation to Design, Demolition & Construction – Recommendations’) and Landscape Architect Services including: Landscape Design, Planting Plans, Landscape Visual Assessment (LVA) and Landscape Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA)

All of our Ecologists, Arborists and Landscape Architects are qualified to at least degree level. 

Managing Director: Paul Diamond - Cert (Hort), BSc (Hons), MSc, MArborA MCIEEM Paul holds Protected Species Licences for: Bats (Class 2) Dormice (Class 1), Great Crested Newts (Class 1) and Barn Owl (Class 1). 

Office Manager and Company Secretary: Phin Diamond - BACA (Hons) PGCE. Prior to joining Ecological Surveys Ltd, Phin was a Primary School teacher for over 20yrs and still enjoys going into schools to discuss biodiversity and engage children in our native wildlife. Phin is responsible for coordinating the workflow within Ecological Surveys Ltd. Phin holds a Class 2 Bat survey Licence and whilst generally office based, is also an experienced field ecologist.

Sarah Board - BSc (Hons), MSc, MCIEEM provides advice on a whole range of ecological issues and is particularly knowledgeable on habitat restoration and management as well as Habitat Regulation Assessments and BNG. In her spare time Sarah undertakes voluntary work with Natural England.

Nikki Taylor BSc (Hons), MCIEEM - holds Natural England Survey licenses for white claw crayfish, dormice, barn owls and bats. 

Tom Woo-Glover BSc (Hons), MSc holds a Natural England Survey licence for Bats at Level 2. Tom undertakes a wide range of Phase 1 and Phase II surveys.  Tom is supported by his wife Stef Woo-Glover BSc (Hons), MSc. who as well as assisting in the field, also undertakes data searches and helps with the workflow.

James Roberts BSc (Hons), James has a background in Conservation and Land Management and holds a Natural England survey licence for Dormice. James focuses on Phase 2 surveys and site supervision.

Anna Martlew BSc (Hons), Anna has recently started with us and is already proving to be a great addition to the team and now holds a dormouse survey licence. Anna has a knack for finding harvest mice.

Martin Easton - Ex-Royal Navy Engineer, has joined us as a general all rounder. Martin assists with dormouse surveys, reptile surveys and bat emergence surveys and can pretty much turn his hand to most things.

Between us we hold protected species licenses for bats, dormice, GCN, barn owl and white clawed cray fish and in addition to these species have significant experience with badgers, water voles and invasive species. Each year we issue many 100’s of reports to support planning applications and have successfully undertaken projects in the following Counties: Berkshire, Bristol, Cambridgeshire, Cornwall, Devon (All Councils), Dorset (All Councils), East Sussex, Gloucester (Several Councils), Hampshire (All Councils), Herefordshire, Isle of Wight, Leicestershire, Oxfordshire, Rutland, Somerset (All Councils), Surrey (Several Councils), West Sussex and Wiltshire.

Several of these Councils have already introduced BNG, which means that we have gained a great deal of experience prior to BNG being introduced nationally.
